Michelle is from Los Angeles, California. She studied Business at Cal Poly Pomona. Prior to law school, Michelle worked in the wine industry before working as a paralegal in Santa Monica. Michelle is the Secretary of the Business Law Forum, and the President of the Food and Beverage Law Club. Michelle worked for the New York State Attorney General’s Office during her 1L summer. She will be a Summer Associate at White & Case in New York during her 2L summer, and she plans on working there as an associate post-graduation. Michelle is a certified sommelier under the Court of Master Sommeliers.

Whitney Swart
Whitney grew up in the small town of Mount Pleasant, Michigan. She then stayed in state for undergraduate, studying Spanish and Political Science at the University of Michigan. During her 1L summer, Whitney worked as a research assistant for Professor Venter, where she examined opinions written by Justice Ginsburg. Last summer, Whitney was a summer associate at Foley and Lardner in Washington D.C. Whitney will be returning to Foley following graduation. A fun fact about Whitney is that she has been to 16 Taylor Swift concerts.

Katherine M. Klem
Katherine Klem is a 2L. The co-youngest of six (she has a twin brother), she is originally from the eastern San Francisco Bay Area. She graduated with a bachelor of arts from the University of Dallas, majoring in English, with a Concentration in American Politics. She is a member of the Federalist Society, the St. Thomas More Society, and Jus Vitae, and she spent her 1L summer interning for the Napa Legal Institute in Washington, D.C. Her professional interests include religious liberty concerns and private property rights, with a focus on constitutional law.
Elizabeth Barnes
Elizabeth is originally from Chicago. She graduated from the University of Michigan in 2013, where she majored in Near Eastern Studies. Currently a 3L at Notre Dame Law School, she is an oralist on the Moot Court Board’s Seventh Circuit team. During her 1L summer, Elizabeth worked at the New York City Law Department in the Administrative Law division. This past summer, she was a Summer Associate at White & Case in New York. After graduation, Elizabeth will begin working full-time at White & Case. In her free time, she enjoys rock climbing, hiking, and hanging out with her dog, Archie.

Jeremiah Lee
Jeremiah Lee was born and raised in Los Angeles [County], CA, but spent the last 6 years before law school in the Orange County with his wife. He started his undergrad program at University of California, Irvine in 2006 and received his B.A. in Business Economics. Jeremiah currently serves as the Vice President for both the Business Law Forum and the Food & Beverage Law Forum at Notre Dame Law School. He worked at the Los Angeles Superior Court as an extern for Judge Buckley in the Complex Civil Litigations department over the summer. Currently, he has a few offers in both Dallas and Chicago that he is deciding between. After graduation, Jeremiah plans to finally take his wife on her honeymoon after completing the bar but before his employment working biglaw begins. A fun fact about Jeremiah is that his wife is a pilot.
