The Journal of Law, Ethics & Public Policy offers members the opportunity to engage with a variety of important policy issues, while helping students hone their writing and editing skills.
Each year, a select group of about thirty incoming second-year law students is invited to become members. First-year members write an article of intellectual and moral significance for publication by the Journal on a topic of their choosing. The members also edit articles and assist with production work associated with the Journal. Second-year members assume editorial positions on the Journal and leadership responsibilities in its operation. JLEPP extends offers to students based upon Writing Competition results (editing assignment and a Note), GPA, and a short personal statement.
First-year students will receive more information on the entire Notre Dame Law School journal selection process and on the Writing Competition during their second semester.
