Sam Gellen

Sam is most recently from Dallas, Texas, and originally from Davis, California. He graduated magna cum laude from Wabash College in 2018 with a degree in Economics. On campus Sam is an Oralist with the Notre Dame Moot Court Board, and a member of the Notre Dame Federalist Society. Prior to Law School Sam worked in J.P. Morgan’s Private Banking practice, and spent the summer of his 1L year as a summer legal clerk for the United States Commission on Civil Rights. In his free time Sam enjoys Notre Dame athletics, and reading science fiction novels.

Molly Baldock

Molly Grace is originally from Ashland, Kentucky. She attended the University of Louisville and graduate summa cum laude with degrees in Political Science and Economics. Molly Grace is currently a member of the Notre Dame Moot Court Board and the Federalist Society. During her 1L summer, she was a Summer Associate at Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs law firm in Louisville, Kentucky, as well as a judicial intern for Judge John Bush at the 6th Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals. In her free time, Molly Grace enjoys hiking, reading, and being an aunt to her precious niece and nephew!

Kendall Crawford

Kendall is originally from Denver, Colorado. She attended Brown University where she graduated with a degree in Public Policy with Honors and was a member of the Varsity Swim Team. Prior to attending law school, Kendall worked at Latham & Watkins LLP in DC. Kendall currently serves as the president of the Alternative Dispute and Resolution Society. During her 1L summer, she interned for the Honorable Allison D. Burroughs in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. In her free time, Kendall enjoys competing in triathlons, skiing, and listening to country music.

John Hale

John hails from Detroit, Michigan. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Notre Dame, receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Italian. During the summer after his first year of law school, John served as a Fellow with the Program on Church, State & Society and as a Research Assistant to Professor Paolo Carozza.

During his second year of law school, John served as Vice President of the Saint Thomas More Society and as Campus Engagement Co-Chair for the Notre Dame Student Chapter of the Federalist Society. A highlight of his second year of law school was returning to Stanford Hall, where he had the privilege of serving over 200 men as an Assistant Rector.

John enjoyed working as a Summer Associate at Dickinson Wright PLLC in the Detroit office during the summer after his second year of law school. In his free time, John enjoys long runs, watching football, playing tennis, and chasing rare airplanes.

Jacqueline Muallem

JLEPP Editor-in-Chief of Volume 38 Jacqueline Muallem is a native New Yorker committed to public service. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude from Macaulay Honors College at Lehman College with a double major in History and Political Science and a double minor in Philosophy and Music. She attended for cello the performing arts high school that inspired the films and television shows Fame and High School Musical. Jacqueline worked for three years before law school at the Municipal Art Society of New York, and she interned for Judge Claire R. Kelly of the U.S. Court of International Trade and Senator Kirsten E. Gillibrand (D-NY) in college. Jacqueline serves as Editor-in-Chief of JLEPP, Director of Ladies of FedSoc of the Notre Dame Federalist Society, and was a Student Fellow at the Notre Dame Religious Liberty Clinic. Jacqueline was a SLIP at the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Tax Division during her 2L summer and a Summer Honors Intern at the New York City Law Department, Commercial & Real Estate Litigation Division during her 1L summer. Jacqueline loves playing her cello, exploring art museums, traveling, and watching Studio Ghibli and Tim Burton films.

Ian DeValliere

Ian is originally from Reno, Nevada. He attended the George Washington University and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business, Economics, and Public Policy. Before law school, Ian spent two years working at the White House in the Office of Public Liaison and the Domestic Policy Council. During his 1L and 2L summers, he was a summer associate at the law firm McDonald Carano in Reno, Nevada. In his free time, Ian enjoys hiking, coaching lacrosse, and spending time with friends and family.
