Alyssa Desouza

Alyssa hails from Staten Island, New York. She graduated from Hunter College, cum laude, with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a Certificate in Public Policy. After graduation, Alyssa worked for as a Private Funds Paralegal at an international law firm, as a Private Credit Paralegal at an asset management firm, and taught English in Madrid, Spain. During her 1L summer, Alyssa worked as a Judicial Intern to the Honorable Joseph F. Bianco of the Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Alyssa enjoys cooking, international travel, and rock climbing.

Ally Morcus

Ally is originally from Louisville, Kentucky. She is a Double Domer, having graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2021 with degrees in Political Science and Spanish. Ally spent her 1L summer interning with the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund in Chicago, and her 2L summer interning at Legal Aid Chicago. She currently serves as Vice President of the Moot Court Board. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, listening to podcasts, and cuddling with her cat, Luna.

Alan Kohl

Alan is originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He attended Vanderbilt University and graduated with a degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. Prior to law school, Alan worked as a consultant and project manager for health care and consumer products companies. Alan currently serves as a Vice President for the Health Law Society. During his 1L summer, Alan was a law clerk in the Maryland Office of the Attorney General, working closely with the Maryland Department of Health. Alan enjoys spending time with his wife, Sarah, and his cat, Lil’ Caesar.

Alan Stautz

Alan is originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, and graduated from the University of Michigan in 2018 with degrees in Political Science and Environmental Studies. Prior to attending law school, he worked in the healthcare consulting industry for two years in Chicago. During his 1L summer, Alan interned for the Honorable James Carr in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Indiana.

Malcolm Chaka

Malcolm Chaka grew up in Mississauga, Canada. Malcolm graduated from Cornell University in 2019, where he was a 4-time letter winner in Varsity Football.  Following graduation, Malcolm worked as a paralegal at Winston & Strawn where he returned for his 1L summer. He will be spending his 2L summer at Sidley Austin in Chicago. At Notre Dame, Malcolm serves as the graduate student representative on the Faculty Board of Athletics and is a member of the Moot Court Trial Team. This year, he will extern for Judge Thomas K. Kirsch in the U.S Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit. In his free time, Malcolm enjoys watching sports, listening to music, and taking hikes.
