Raised in Corrales, New Mexico, Matt studied at Colorado Christian University where he majored in accounting as well as business administration. During 1L summer, he worked on the Colorado Court of Appeals, during his 2L summer employment at Scheffel & Associates in Denver, and he hopes to work in Colorado after graduation. Matt is a certified scuba diver and has skydived over Jurassic Park (or at least the filming location!).

Mitchell is from Fort Wayne, Indiana. He attended Indiana University – Purdue University Fort Wayne, where he graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with Distinction. During the summers of both his 1L and 2L years, Mitchell worked as a summer associate at Carson LLP in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He received an offer to return upon his graduation, and that is where he plans on going. Mitchell has volunteered at the Volunteer Lawyer Network in South Bend, Indiana, outside of law school. With a goal of working in real estate, he enjoys spending his free time taking spontaneous road trips with friends and restoring classic Volkswagens.

Tyler grew up in Rochester, New York. He graduated from the State University of New York at Albany, where he studied finance and economics. Tyler spent his first summer as a research assistant to Professor Jennifer Mason McAward, researching patterns in violations of Brady v. Maryland. This past summer, Tyler worked as a summer associate in the Chicago office of Ropes & Gray, where he will return after graduation. He hopes to build a practice in white collar defense, investigations, and securities enforcement. Aside from JLEPP, Tyler has been involved at Notre Dame as a member of FPAC and a barrister on the Moot Court Trial Team. In his free time, Tyler enjoys reading fiction, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

Michelle is from Los Angeles, California. She studied Business at Cal Poly Pomona. Prior to law school, Michelle worked in the wine industry before working as a paralegal in Santa Monica. Michelle is the Secretary of the Business Law Forum, and the President of the Food and Beverage Law Club. Michelle worked for the New York State Attorney General’s Office during her 1L summer. She will be a Summer Associate at White & Case in New York during her 2L summer, and she plans on working there as an associate post-graduation. Michelle is a certified sommelier under the Court of Master Sommeliers.

Whitney grew up in the small town of Mount Pleasant, Michigan. She then stayed in state for undergraduate, studying Spanish and Political Science at the University of Michigan. During her 1L summer, Whitney worked as a research assistant for Professor Venter, where she examined opinions written by Justice Ginsburg. Last summer, Whitney was a summer associate at Foley and Lardner in Washington D.C. Whitney will be returning to Foley following graduation. A fun fact about Whitney is that she has been to 16 Taylor Swift concerts.
