
Jacob hails from Georgia, but has spent time living in a variety of locales: Atlanta, Seattle, Santa Barbara, Washington, D.C., London, England, and of course, South Bend. He graduated Magna cum Laude from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California, studying Economics, Business, and Philosophy. While attending Westmont, Jacob worked in Information Technology and as a legal clerk for Christian Legal Society’s Director of Litigation.
Jacob spent his 1L Summer as a legal assistant at the DeVetter Law firm in Savannah, Georgia working on civil litigation and criminal record sealing, along with various research projects.
After spending 2L at the London Law Program, where he studied international financial law and published an article, Richard O’Sullivan and the American Supreme Court, Jacob returned to California to spend his 2L summer in Los Angeles as a litigation-track Summer Associate at Jones Day.
Jacob currently spends a majority of his time working with the Notre Dame Clinical Law Center’s Eviction Clinic, through which he has litigated cases before the St. Joseph County Superior Court’s Small Claims Division, as well as at the Court of Appeals of Indiana and Indiana Supreme Court. He also serves as a Managing Online Editor at the Journal of Law, Ethics, and Public Policy.
After Graduation, Jacob will return to Jones Day’s Los Angeles office where he will pursue a career in trial litigation.
