
Kaitlyn Bowe is originally from Chicago, Illinois. Kaitlyn graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science in Communication, double minoring in Business Law and Advertising. Before attending law school, she gained valuable experience working at a law firm in Chicago for over a year.
As a 1L at Notre Dame Law School, Kaitlyn served as a class representative for both the Black Law Students Association (BLSA) and the Exoneration Project, while also volunteering as a 1L class host for the Notre Dame Law School Office of Admissions. During her 1L summer, she participated in the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Summer Scholar program with Jenner & Block LLP and Chime in Chicago.
During her 2L year, Kaitlyn expanded her leadership involvement. She served as a Diversity and Inclusion Committee Member for the Student Bar Association, Secretary for BLSA, Public Relations Chair for the Exoneration Project, and Mentorship Coordinator for First Generation Professionals. She was also selected as a Graduate Justice Fellow with the University of Notre Dame Center for Social Concerns, where she further developed her research on social justice and legal reform. Additionally, Kaitlyn worked with the Exoneration Justice Clinic and volunteered at the Expungement Clinic. She also served as a Staff Editor for the Notre Dame Journal of Law, Ethics & Public Policy. For her 2L summer, Kaitlyn returned to Jenner & Block in Chicago as a Summer Associate.
As a 3L, Kaitlyn serves as Secretary for the Death Penalty Abolition Society and is an Articles Editor for the Notre Dame Journal of Law, Ethics & Public Policy. Throughout her time at Notre Dame, Kaitlyn has been recognized with the Judge Willie Lipscomb Jr. Fellowship and the Notre Dame Club of Chicago Academic Scholarship.
