Mary Papalia is from Ashton, Maryland. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa and cum laude from the University of Maryland, College Park with a major in Government and Politics and a double minor in History and MLAW (Law and Society). Before law school, Mary interned for the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office, and worked as a Legal Assistant doing estate planning at a law office in Maryland. Most recently, she worked as a Legal Assistant in the criminal defense firm Barry H. Helfand, P.A., where she returned for 1L summer.
