Born and raised in South Bend, Maria is a triple Domer. After graduating with her BA in political science, she earned her M.Ed while teaching full-time at a middle school in South Texas through Notre Dame’s ACE Teaching Fellowship. During law school, Maria has interned at Equip for Equality in Chicago, the federal judiciary in South Bend, Legal Aid in Grand Rapids, and NDLS’ Economic Justice Clinic. After graduation, she will clerk for Judge Damon Leichty of the Northern District of Indiana. In her free time, Maria enjoys reading fiction and coaching a local elementary school’s girls volleyball team.
