Born and raised in Minnesota, Matthew graduated from the University of Saint Thomas in 2016 where he triple majored in Philosophy, Catholic Studies, and Classical Languages. He then lived abroad for three years in Rome where he completed a master’s degree in theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in 2019. For his 1L summer experience, Matthew did the Blackstone Legal Fellowship during which he interned with Chief Judge Tunheim of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota and served as a research assistant for Notre Dame Law School’s Professor Paolo Carozza. At Notre Dame Law School, Matthew is the Secretary for both the Federalist Society and the Future Prosecuting Attorneys Council. In his free time, Matthew enjoys playing golf, playing the piano, and learning languages.
