Zahraa is local to South Bend, IN. She graduated from Loyola University Chicago with degrees in finance and economics. At NDLS, she is an oralist on the Moot Court Board. Prior to law school, she worked in Chicago for four years as a financial consultant with Deloitte. She spent her 1L summer as a summer associate for Ropes & Gray, as well as a research assistant for Professor Thomas, researching federal and local tax procedures impacting low-income taxpayers. She will be externing with the National Immigrant Justice Center during her 2L year. In her free time, she enjoys roasting and brewing her own coffee blends and whipping up new recipes to share with willing taste-testers.
