Maria grew up in Houston, Texas. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in philosophy and two minors in sociology and italian. Maria currently serves on the executive board for GALILEE – a public interest law program unique to Notre Dame, a member of the Women’s Legal Forum, and an Assistant Rector at Flaherty Hall. She spent her 1L summer as a policy intern for the National Immigrant Justice Center in Washington D.C. In her free time, Maria enjoys exercising, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.
