Tanner is originally from St. Paul, Minnesota. He attended the University of St. Thomas and graduated in the top 10% of his class with a degree in Finance. Tanner serves as the President of Jus Vitae and Vice-President of the Married Law Students’ Organization. During his 1L summer, he conducted research on corporate fiduciary duties and corporate governance as a research assistant for Professor Julian Velasco. He was also a Teaching Assistant for Professor Julian Velasco’s Contract Law course during the Indiana Conference for Legal Education and Opportunity (ICLEO). In his free time, Tanner performs janitorial duties for his newborn daughter, Gianna, and two-year-old Golden Retriever, Ethel.
