Luke is originally from Lincoln Park in Chicago. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2019 where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies. Luke spent his 1L summer at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. He is an avid Notre Dame sports fan and hopes to work in Chicago in the future.
Samantha is originally from Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Notre Dame in 2020 with a double major in Accountancy and French. Currently, Samantha is a dual degree student and working towards both her JD and her MBA. During her 2L summer, Samantha was a Summer Associate at Kirkland & Ellis in New York City. She will return to the firm after graduation as a member of their Corporate practice group. In her free time, Samantha enjoys traveling, watching movies, and cheering for the New York Yankees.
Davis is the Executive Notes Editor and is originally from Nashville, TN. He graduated from Duke University in 2018, majoring in Spanish, and was also a member of the Marching and Pep Band. Before law school, Davis was a high school Spanish teacher in Charlotte, NC, through Teach for America. Davis has done his summer internships at MALDEF and Equip for Equality and is passionate about the intersection of immigration rights and education for youth, an area in which he intends to pursue a post-graduate fellowship opportunity. In his free time, Davis can be found outside on his daily runs and loyally supporting his favorite teams, including but not limited to the Duke Blue Devils, all Tennessee professional sports teams, the New York Mets, and Wolverhampton Wanderers FC.
Josh is from Metairie, Louisiana. He graduated magna cum laude from Tulane University in 2020 with majors in Finance and Legal Studies in Business and a minor in Political Science. He is a student cohort member of the Notre Dame Religious Liberty Clinic, Sorin Fellow in the de Nicola Center for Ethics and Culture, and Research Assistant to Professor Randy Kozel. Josh split his 1L summer as a judicial intern to The Honorable Martin L.C. Feldman and The Honorable Lance M. Africk of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. After his 2L year, he was a Summer Associate at Kirkland & Ellis in Chicago. Upon graduation, he will serve as a law clerk to The Honorable Federico A. Moreno of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. In his free time, Josh enjoys playing basketball, watching Notre Dame football, walking around the on-campus lakes, and trying various coffee spots in South Bend.
Jeanna is from Hartford, Kentucky. She graduated from Brescia University in Owensboro, Kentucky with a double major in History and Political Science. During college, she was an intern at Kentucky Legal Aid and volunteered at local expungement clinics. At NDLS, Jeanna is the Secretary of the American Constitution Society. During her 1L summer, she worked as a research assistant for Professor Fox and as an intern for the Federal Defender of the Northern District of Illinois. She will be an extern with Federal Community Defenders in South Bend during the Fall 2021 semester.
Devin Humphreys is from Farwell, Michigan. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Michigan State University’s James Madison College, majoring in Political Theory & Constitutional Democracy and minoring in Music. At the law school, he is the president of the International Human Rights Society, and he is also a member of the Federalist Society and the Christian Legal Society. During his 1L summer, Devin participated in the Blackstone Legal Fellowship, during which he was a research assistant for Professor Paolo Carozza as part of the Constitutionalism and Rule of Law (CAROL) Lab. He is currently externing for Justice Brian Hagedorn on the Wisconsin Supreme Court. In his free time, Devin is a member of the Notre Dame Folk Choir, and he also serves as a sacristan and lector at the Law School’s St. Thomas More Chapel.
