Jessica Wolfert

Jessica is originally from Hingham, Massachusetts. She graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelor of Business Administration, double majoring in Marketing and International Business. Jessica also earned minors in Business Law, Finance and French. Prior to law school, she worked in digital marketing at an advertising agency in New York City. During her 1L summer, Jessica was selected to participate in The Sonia & Celina Sotomayor Judicial Internship Program where she worked for The Honorable Justice Wilma Guzman of the Bronx County Supreme Court. Most recently, she worked as a summer associate at Greenberg Traurig in New York City, where she will be returning after graduation.  In her spare time, Jessica enjoys snowboarding, watching Boston sports, and making her Nana’s spaghetti & meatballs for her friends.

Matthew Goldammer

Born and raised in Minnesota, Matthew graduated from the University of Saint Thomas in 2016 where he triple majored in Philosophy, Catholic Studies, and Classical Languages. He then lived abroad for three years in Rome where he completed a master’s degree in theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in 2019. While at Notre Dame Law School, Matthew has served as a Research Assistant for Professors Paolo Carozza and Gerard Bradley as well as an executive board member for the Federalist Society and the Future Prosecuting Attorneys Council. After graduating from NDLS, Matthew will clerk for Judge John Kness of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois during the 2022-23 term, and then for Judge Kyle Duncan of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit during the 2023-24 term. In his free time, Matthew enjoys playing golf, playing the piano, learning languages, and traveling with his wife, Lauren.

Declan Duggan

Declan is from St. Charles, Illinois. He graduated from Boston College in 2016 with a degree in political science. Before law school, he worked as a litigation paralegal in Chicago. During his 1L summer, he interned at the Notre Dame Clinical Law Center, where he assisted with the representation of low-income individuals and non-profit organizations on matters including consumer protection, community development, mortgage fraud and foreclosure, and tax controversy. He spent his 2L summer with Morris, Nichols, Arsht, & Tunnell LLP in Wilmington, Delaware working primarily in the corporate and commercial counseling groups. After his graduation in 2022, he will join Winston & Strawn LLP in Chicago as a corporate associate. In his free time, Declan enjoys distance running, cooking, and cheering for the Chicago White Sox.

Justin Ewing

Justin is a second-year law student from Covington, Kentucky. He received his Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and his Master of Arts in French and Francophone Studies from the University of Kentucky. Prior to starting law school, he worked in higher education administration for four years. During his 1L summer, Justin interned for the Honorable Pierre H. Bergeron on the Ohio First District Court of Appeals. Most recently, he worked as a summer law clerk Reminger Co., LPA in Cincinnati, OH. Justin plans to return to Cincinnati following graduation and hopes to practice in the area of labor and employment law. In his free time, he enjoys walking his Australian shepherd and exploring South Bend’s culinary scene with his wife.

Mary Grace Donnelly

Mary Grace is from Dayton, Ohio. After graduating high school, she spent two years dancing ballet professionally with Ballet Austin and Nashville Ballet. She graduated from Wright State University with a degree in psychology. During her 1L summer, Mary Grace worked as a Research Assistant for Notre Dame’s COVID-19 Economic and Social Science Research Task Force, where she researched various state and national policies in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Mary Grace spent her 2L summer at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office Complex Homicides Unit, where she hopes to return after graduation.
