Bree Hall

Bree is from Plainfield, Indiana. She attended Northwestern University and graduated cum laude with a degree in Psychology, with minors in Geography and Legal Studies. Bree currently serves as the President of Food and Beverage Law Club, a regional representative for the National Food Law Student Network, and a member of the Real Estate Law Society. During her 1L summer, she worked as an in-house legal leasing intern at Simon Property Group. In her free time, Bree enjoys playing pickleball and spending time with her pug.

Bernadette Shaughnessy

Bernadette is from Cimarron, Kansas. She graduated from Benedictine College in 2021 with majors in Finance and Accounting and minors in Economics and Theology. In addition to her role as Executive Symposium Editor, Bernadette serves as president of the St. Thomas More Society. During her 1L summer she interned for the Honorable Holly L. Teeter at the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas. During her 2L summer she was a summer associate at Husch Blackwell in Kansas City. In her free time Bernadette enjoys trying new recipes and spending time with friends and family.

Arlinda Shehu

Arlinda is originally from Fier, Albania, but has called New York City home since she immigrated to the U.S. She attended Cornell University and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Psychology. She later attended Columbia University and graduated with a Master’s degree in Philosophy. At NDLS, Arlinda is very involved with the First-Generation Professional Students Organization, acting as President during her 2L. During her 1L summer, she worked at as a research assistant for Prof. Paolo Carozza, and during 2L summer, she was a summer associate at Weil, Gotshal & Manges in NYC. In her free time, she enjoys baking and running.

Anneliese Ostrom

Anneliese is from the Sacramento Valley of California. She attended Boise State University and graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Philosophy. Her fondest memories at NDLS include serving as the Vice President of Jus Vitae and working as a Teaching Assistant to Professor Bray’s Civil Procedure class. Anneliese also works as a Research Assistant to Professor Barclay. She spent her 1L summer in South Bend, interning at the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office and returned to Boise during her 2L summer to work for the Idaho Attorney General. In her free time, Anneliese enjoys distance running and playing/composing piano music.

Andrew Athenson

Andrew is from Lake Forest, Illinois. He attended DePauw University and graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science. Andrew currently serves on the Student Bar Association’s Service and Athletics Committees. During his 1L summer, he interned for the Honorable Sara Darrow in the Central District of Illinois. In his free time, Andrew enjoys watching the Chicago Cubs, cooking, and hanging out with friends and family.

Andres Solorzano

Andres was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He attended Florida International University and graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Political Science. Andres is currently Campus Engagement co-chair for the NDLS Federalist Society, Spiritual Chair for the NDLS St. Thomas More Society. During his 1L summer, he interned for the Honorable Rodolfo A. Ruiz in the Southern District of Florida. Andres enjoys philosophy, theology, and playing chess.
